Retirement Fund for the Religious Collection

Sunday, December 8, 2024The collection for the Retirement Fund for Religious is the weekend of December 7/8. Did you know that religious communities are financially responsible for the support and care of all their members? The income, earnings, and expenses are managed separately from the parish and diocesan structures of the Catholic Church and only 6% of religious communities are adequately funded for retirement. Some of the smaller communities struggle to care for elder members due to lack of financial resources and personnel. 46% have 25 or fewer members.
Your donation will help support the day-to-day care of elderly sisters, brothers, and religious order priests. This will help in their financial need as well as allowing them to continue important ministries in their retirement. Please donate to this worthy cause to help those that have given their lives in service to the people of God.
